PROFHILO has been described as the ‘holy grail of skincare, containing one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market to ‘cure’ wrinkles instead of simply filling them: boosting and hydrating the skin alongside remodelling ageing and sagging tissues. Extreme ageing may need 3 sessions.
To maintain your beautiful results, a repeated 2 course session is recommended every 6 months.
No. Unlike dermal fillers which are instant, you can expect to see results slowly over a period of 4-6 weeks. You will see some improvement after the first session, but improved benefits will be seen after the 2nd treatment.
The effects of PROFHILO lasts approximately 6 months – hence a 2-course session is recommended twice a year to maintain your results.
No allergy testing is needed.
PROFHILO administration using the BAP technique normally around 30 minutes.
PROFHILO is injected in tiny amounts using ultra-fine needles, sometimes you may feel a little sting .
We advise you not to drink alcohol or take Ibuprofen within the preceding 24hours of your appointment, as this can increase the risk of bruising.
Avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 48 hours following your treatment.
The small pea size lumps generally subside with 24-72 hours (often not seen by the naked eye)
There are low risks to Profhilo®. You may experience temporary tenderness, itching, redness, swelling and possible bruising at the injection points.
These side effects tend to resolve within a few days but can last up to 14 days following treatment.
You cannot have PROFHILO if:
• You are pregnant.
• You are breastfeeding.
• You are under 18 years of age.
• You are currently unwell in any way (cold etc).
• If you are currently – or have, in the past 18 months – used Roacutane (an acne treatment).
• You have a hypersensitivity to the product or any of its excipients.
• You have a known history of keloid scarring or hypertrophic scarring.
• You have active skin eruptions at the site of proposed treatment – such as cysts, pimples, rashes or hives.
• You have any bleeding disorders.
